Dedicated to the Well-Being of Vermont Military Members and Their Families

Through our actions, The Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation (VTNGCF) lets our service members know we stand with them.

We are a non-profit organization offering financial support to Vermont Service members belonging to any branch of the military.

We want service personnel to know we see them.

  • We see them when they leave their civilian jobs for mission after mission and then experience financial hardships.
  • We see them when they struggle to find housing or buy food.
  • We see them when they put their communities before themselves.

Our legacy of giving began in 1991 when the Vermont Military Assistance Fund was established. The VTNGCF was founded in 2005 and the two organizations merged to support an even broader population of service members.

As a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization funded solely by charitable donations, we rely on the generosity of people who understand how important it is for our service members to feel safe, respected, and cared for.

Why Choose Us?

  • Non-profit 501c(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible.
  • Volunteer board with operating costs of less than one percent.
  • Support military members in every county of Vermont and beyond.

“As a former commander in the Vermont Air National Guard, I witnessed first-hand the impact that emergency financial relief had on members of my organization. A Reserve Force Member’s unique financial challenges, especially during and immediately after Activation and Deployment, can be daunting. These financial challenges on military members and their families can directly impact mission success. Having a resource such as the VTNGCF can help ensure mission accomplishment.”

– Phil Murdock, VTNGCF Board Vice President

“I appreciate that I wasnʼt treated like a child during the process…
the staff were very professional and they are actually aware of the realities of day-to-day life. I took a huge pay cut coming off active duty for what I thought was a secure job…it didnʼt work out and I found myself in the very place I was trying to avoid. The staff saw that.”
